CARL SUCHY & SÖHNE UNVEILS THE FIRST SKELETON VERSION OF ITS BESTSELLER AT BASEL 2018: THE WALTZ N°1 SKELETON (LIMITED EDITION)
With the Waltz N°1 Skeleto, Carl Suchy & Söhne presents highest-level watchmaking skills and design. Honoring the brand’s DNA, the skeletonized dial of the Waltz N°1 Skeleton is animated by the rotating « waltzing » second disc at 6 o’clock featuring a striped guilloche-pattern that aligns with that of the dial once a minute. The pure lines and classic dial are inspired by the avant-garde and minimalist style of famous Austrian architect Adolf Loos, precursor of modern architecture and advocate of understated elegance.
The Waltz N°1 Skeleton is equipped with the ultra-thin automatic movement VMF 5401/180 (Swiss Made), designed and produced by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. It has been modified by Zurich-based watchmaker Marc Jenni, a former member of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants (AHCI).
The Waltz N°1 Skeleton will be unveiled in the context of Swiss Creative Lab at Hotel Hyperion on the 3rd floor.
