As 2017 draws to a close, it is time to reflect on Carl Suchy & Söhne’s first year back on the market after its short creative break of one hundred years: following a successful relaunch just before Basel World last spring and a sold-out first edition of 22 exclusively handcrafted Waltz N°1, Carl Suchy & Söhne decided to celebrate Christmas by launching the second Waltz N°1 series. The 50 automatic timepieces, including, for the first time, the new creation “Waltz N°1 Blue Danube”, were diligently manufactured by watchmaker Marc Jenni over the course of seven months and can now be purchased through our new online shop.
Another celebration took place last week: At the Carl Suchy Christmas Event at Looshaus Vienna, transdisciplinary artist and “time architect” Vesna Petresin from London charmed the audience with her performance that was especially created for Suchy, and the swinging tunes of Viennese band “The Mauvais Garçons” spread the festive spirit.
